The Bluetails is a Dutch bluesband that started performing since 2012. Alex Jr plays the guitar and is doing vocals, Henk is on bass and upright bass and his son Dave is the drummer and percussionist. Alex and Henk have been performing together for several decades, mostly known for being members of Big Will & the Bluesmen, a successful bluesact in the blueshistory of Holland. In 2014 they released the album Riverside Tales that was received well in the Dutch bluesscene.

Dave, the youngster, is the former drummer of We the Firm and is giving the rhythm of The Bluetails an incredibly fresh and detailed foundation for the songs the band plays live on stage.

The musical pond these guys fish in is mainly traditional blues, a little bit of rock and roll and some jazzy sidesteps when the occasion is there. Repertoire includes standards and some original work. Do not expect howling leadguitars, booming bass and banging drums. The Bluetails are here for delicate, sophisticated songs that are played on a descent sound level. Book ’em now!
